Private Painting Classes for One or a Group of Two
If you hope to learn and improve your painting skills, take private painting classes taught by Prof. Yan Sun. The private classes are tailored to meet your special interests in subject matter (landscape or portrait), media (oil or acrylic painting) and techniques. The purpose of the private painting classes is to create a supportive learning environment for individuals and to facilitate artistic growth and development. Prof. Yan Sun will provide detailed instructions, helping you understand and apply the painting techniques to your own artwork.The private classes will take place in Yan Sun Art Museum & Gallery. Basic painting materials and equipment are provided, including easels, canvas, brushes, paints, and other supplies. You are welcome to bring your own supplies.
If you are interested in taking a private class or classes, please send an email to yan.sun.art.gallery@gmail.com and let us know your preferred subject matter, media, and techniques. We will customize the class content to suit your specific needs and preferences. Duration per class: Three hours. Fee: $80 for one participant; $120 for a group of two.
2024 Spring Painting Workshops with Professor Yan Sun
Yan Sun Art Museum & Gallery will be offering landscape painting workshops in April 2024! Professor and recognized artist Yan Sun will be the instructor.The workshops will guide participants through a step-by-step landscape process, enriched with a demonstration by Prof. Yan Sun, using acrylic colors. With a special emphasis on exploring the profound emotional impact of color and light, Prof. Sun will provide invaluable insights on composition, color contrast and harmony, texture, depth, and the expression of ideas. You will have the option to work with preselected photo references or bring your own.
The workshops are open to all skill levels, and we provide the supplies you'll need, including an 11”x14” canvas and a palette; acrylic colors and brushes; as well as a brush washing container and paper towers.
Location: 604 Main Street, Zanesville, OH.
Workshop One: Saturday, April 20, 2024, 2:00pm – 5:00pm. (Fee is due on April 13, 2024.)
Workshop Two: Saturday, April 27, 2024, 2:00pm – 5:00pm. (Fee is due on April 20, 2024.)
Fee: $35 per workshop. The fee is non-refundable but transferable to your friends or family if you can’t attend.
Registration: Pre-registration is required. Limited seats are available.
